Steel armor is an occult Pre-Hardmode armor set crafted from Steel Bar, consisting of the Steel Helmet, the Steel Chainmail, and the Steel Greaves. It takes a total of 75 Steel Bars (38 Iron Bars and 38 Tungsten Bars or 76 Iron Ore and 76 Tungsten Ore) to craft a full set. Its same-tier counterpart is the Bronze armor.

A full set of Steel armor provides the following benefits:

• +9 defense
• +5 max arcturum
• +15% occult knockback
• +5% occult damage
• +10% movement speed
• +35 max life (Pure Acolytes only)
