The Singed Tome is a craftable pre-Hardmode Tome. It requires a rune to be used, and different runes alter the attributes of the spell it produces. The Singed Tome has the Singe rune built into the weapon, which summons sparks of flame that are able to pierce infinitely, are affected by gravity, and will linger on the ground for 4 seconds.

As is the case with all occult weapons, there is no strictly best modifier. Runic, Spellbound, Eldritch, and Gruesome are all good options with varying effects.
