Vision of the Garden (Wrath of the Gods)

 "Your final test begins." 

The Vision of the Garden is a post-Moon Lord event that occurs at Night on the Surface.

Description

The Vision of the Garden occurs when the player is in a relatively open area. The primordial light sigil will briefly flash on-screen after which, the player is teleported to an isolated staircase which extends infinitely downwards. As the player goes up the staircase, the background will gradually become lighter as progressively thicker plumes of smoke start rising from below. At the end of the staircase, the player will arrive at the entrance to a mysterious expanse of land. They stop in place and close their eyes as a message from an unknown figure appears.

The Message

Welcome, usurper. In solitude, only you behold the heavenly splendor enveloping this realm. Your presence here has been ordained, so that you might fathom your destiny. The Dark One drifts in your domain. It is incumbent upon you to conquer it. Once triumphant, your fate shall interlace with mine once more, and you will be tested. Good luck.

Notes

• If the event occurs on a multiplayer server, it will be experienced by a single player only. The other players on the server will not see it, and the single player will appear to be in a motionless trance for the duration of the event.

Trivia

• If the Calamity Community Remix mod is enabled, the event will play out with significantly altered dialogue.
• If equipped, the Compass and Depth Meter (or their upgrades such as the GPS, PDA, Cell Phone, or Shellphone) will display '???' during the event instead of any specific coordinates.
  • Similarly, watches and their upgrades will display random digits and periods during the event instead of any specific time.
