"A dark presence is stirring..."
Noxus is a post-game superboss that is meant to be fought after Supreme Witch, Calamitas and the Exo Mechs have been defeated.
Summoning
Noxus does not spawn by itself and requires the player to summon it manually using Genesis. If the player has defeated Noxus' larval first phase, left-clicking with Genesis will directly summon Noxus in its second form, while right-clicking will summon the Godless Spawn again.
Behavior
Noxus is an extremely mobile and powerful boss, teleporting extremely often and moving at extraordinary speeds while cycling between a deadly variety of attacks. It has a period of vulnerability interspered within these cycles that allow you to deal damage before it continues.
Noxus has two forms: Godless Spawn, and the Entropic God. The larval Godless Spawn is the form Noxus takes in its first phase. Once the Godless Spawn reaches 82.74% health, it abruptly freezes as a fake-out before a short cutscene plays and it transitions into its second, true form: The Entropic God. The player gains unlimited flight during the fight.
Phase One
When Genesis is used, the screen dims for a few moments as an eerie rumble grows. The Godless Spawn, Noxus appears above the player and roars as the fight begins.
The Godless Spawn cycles through the following attacks in succession:
Comet Charge
The Godless Spawn teleports to the side of the player and charges, releasing sidewinding Dark Comets at the player. It charges twice before moving to the next attack.
Distorting Teleports
The Godless Spawn erratically teleports around the player, creating forcefields at the points it has teleported to. After doing this 8 times, it performs a final teleport behind the player, releasing 8 Dark Comets towards them.
Portal Gas Bursts
The Godless Spawn continuously summons portals near the player which spew out clumps of gas at them. This attack lasts for 3.5 / 4 / 4.5 seconds.
Teleporting Spike Slams
The Godless Spawn teleports directly above the player as Spikes appear nearby, indicated by vertical purple lines. It slams down, creating a visual shockwave, and fires the Spikes. This attack is repeated twice.
Phase Two
After the Godless Spawn reaches 82.74% health, it freezes in place and the sky turns a dark, wavy purple with flashes of light appearing in the distance at random intervals. The Godless Spawn cracks open and hundreds of Dark Comets burst out before it disappears and the boss assumes its true form as Entropic God, Noxus, regenerating its health back to 100%.
The Entropic God performs attacks from the following pool:
Dark Explosion Charges
The Entropic God charges at the player, releasing Dark Explosions along its path. This attack is repeated thrice.
Dark Bolt Wave
The Entropic God teleports above the player, raising its hands above itself. Purple Spike-telegraph lines emanate radially outward from its hands. A few moments later, it brings its hands down, shooting out a large spread of Spikes in both directions.
Fireball Barrage
The Entropic God charges horizontally twice, once above the player, and once below the player. During each charge, it releases a vertical burst of Dark Fireballs towards the player. Each of the Dark Fireballs explodes after a few seconds.
Hovering Hand Comet Burst
The Entropic God's hands move to either side of the screen and hover erratically, firing Dark Comets at the player. This attack lasts for 4 seconds.
Explosive Teleports
The Entropic God erratically teleports around the player 7 times, causing explosions every time it does so. After the 7th teleport, it raises its hands above its head and brings them down, firing a burst of Dark Fireballs at the player which explode after a few moments.
Teleporting Gas Burst
The Entropic God teleports around the player 4 times, firing a spread of 3 gas clumps towards them.
Vulnerable Phase
The Entropic God hovers in place, bringing its hands to its head in pain as a rising tone builds up for approximately 5 seconds. It is fully vulnerable for the duration of the animation and resumes attacking after it finishes. Noxus will not deal contact damage during this state.
Attack Cycle
The Entropic God will perform its attacks in a fixed cycle, repeating after the last attack:
- Dark Explosion Charges
- Dark Bolt Wave
- Fireball Barrage
- Hovering Hand Comet Burst
- Vulnerable Phase
- Explosive Teleports
- Teleporting Gas Burst
- Dark Explosion Charges
- Fireball Barrage
- Vulnerable Phase
- Explosive Teleports
- Teleporting Gas Burst
- Dark Bolt Wave
- Hovering Hand Comet Burst
- Vulnerable Phase
Phase Three
At 65% health, the Entropic God brings its hands to its head in pain, similar to the Vulnerable Phase animation. It then teleports above the player and roars, commencing the third phase. The Entropic God gains several new attacks in this phase. It no longer performs the Dark Explosion Charges, Dark Bolt Wave, Hovering Hand Comet Burst, or Explosive Teleports anymore. However, it still performs the Fireball Barrage and Teleporting Gas Burst, along with its Vulnerable Phase.
Geometric Spikes
The Entropic God fires a burst of exploding Dark Fireballs from its hands towards the player. A few moments later, a set of geometrically symmetrical convergent spike-telegraphs spawns around the player as the Entropic God raises its hands. It then brings its hands down, and the Spikes fly towards the converging points.
3D Nightmare Ray
The Entropic God moves to the background and raises its hands up to charge a white orb. One side of the screen turns a violet hue to signify the rotation of the oncoming attack with the other side being the safe area for the player. The orb fires a rotating laser from the background at the player. After a full rotation is performed and the laser reaches the top of the screen, Noxus flies above the player and smashes the laser downwards, creating a screen-shatter effect and releasing 2 perpendicular rows of spikes on either side.
Portal Chains
Two portals appear on either side of the player at randomly rotated angles and the Entropic God charges through them, releasing a spread of 4 exploding Dark Fireballs during each charge. 3 / 4 charges are performed before the Entropic God moves on to the next attack.
Reality Warp Charge
The Entropic God shatters the screen and teleports near to the player. It rotates around them before directly charging, releasing a radial arc of 12 Dark Comets.
Portal Comet Burst
The Entropic God summons a series of portals around the player, including two which are vertically aligned with them. After a few moments, each of the portals fires a Dark Comet at the player simultaneously.

Phase Four
After reaching 25% HP, Noxus teleports on top of the player and remains at that position, as a rising tone similar to that played during its Vulnerable Phase is played. During this time, the camera locks onto Noxus. After 4 seconds, it teleports above the player and roars, producing many purely visual Dark Explosions around it and signalling the start of the fourth phase. Noxus gains two new attacks during the fourth phase, but stops using the majority of its third phase attacks save for 3D Nightmare Ray, Portal Chains, and Reality Warp Charge, which receive noticeable upgrades.
- The 3D Nightmare Ray now smashes down twice instead of once.
- Portal Chains are now performed 4 / 5 times and produce more Dark Fireballs.
- Reality Warp Charges have their base speed increased to 120% and maximum spin speed to 150%, and are now performed faster.
Smokescreen Smash
The Entropic God covers the screen in dense Brain Fog, and fades into the background. After a few moments, twinkles of light start following the player around, rapidly increasing in intensity as the screen shakes violently. The Entropic God then directly charges from the background towards the player, creating a screen-shatter effect.
Massive Portal Charges
The Entropic God creates two horizontally aligned portals near the player and repeatedly dashes through while building up speed, before disappearing and performing a series of massive charges. Each massive charge is preceded by a large portal appearing near the player moments before the Entropic God attempts to ram them, releasing a radial burst of 7 / 9 Dark Comets from the portal. 3 / 5 massive charges are performed before moving to the next attack.

Aftermath
- When Noxus is defeated, it will attempt to escape through a portal, only to be grabbed by a mysterious entity and promptly executed.
- After Noxus is defeated for the first time in a world, a brief cutscene will play and the Terminus becomes usable, allowing access to the Eternal Garden.
Tips
It is recommended to use Shadowspec-tier gear against Noxus due to its post-game place in progression.
Trivia
- The Bestiary entry for Godless Spawn, Noxus: "An anomalous egg of pure darkness. For countless eons it has been patiently waiting to hatch."
- The Bestiary entry for The Entropic God, Noxus: "A fathomless being beyond description."
- Noxus was created in a week as a side project, partially inspired by the content on the highly-graffitied (and now defunct) Calamity Fandom wiki. Some of its drops are also references to the content on the Fandom Noxus page, such as the Noxus Sprayer.
- The chat message "A dark presence is stirring..." which shows up post-Supreme Calamitas/Exo Mechs is replaced with "The dark presence is stirring..." if the player has witnessed the Noxus Comet Crash.
- The track which plays during Noxus' first phase is a reversed version of the Calamity Boss Rush (Tier 2) OST, Onslaught of Beasts, composed by CDMusic. It is internally titled God Is On His Knees.
- Similarly, the track which plays during Noxus' second phase is a reversed version of the Calamity Boss Rush (Tier 3) track, Reign of Lords. It is internally titled Entropic God.
- Both of these tracks do not have an accompanying Music Box, and thus it cannot be recorded.
- Summoning Noxus while the Nameless Deity of Light is alive will cause them to ignore the player and start fighting.
- If Noxus is spawned from a cheat panel (such as Cheat Sheet, HERO's Mod or Dragonlens) then it will fall as a comet.
