The Paladin Spirit is a post-Plantera boss fought in the Dungeon.
While the Paladin Spirit is alive, the music Protector's Care by Bartuscus will play.
Spawn
The Paladin Spirit spawns by using a Spirit Box in the Dungeon.
Behavior
The Paladin Spirit will shoot lost souls and spectral hammers while trying to stay above the player and will occasionally change up it's attack pattern.
Attacks
- Spirit Dance : Hovers in place and shoots lost souls all around it.
- Summon Fallen Soul : Summons Fallen Souls at its current position.
- Summon Spirit Hammer : Summons a Spirit Hammer at its current position that will try to hit the player for 5 seconds.
- Summon Healing Soul : Summons a Healing Soul above the player that will heal the Paladin Spirit if not killed within 5 seconds.
- Charge : The Paladin Spirit will level itself horizontally with the player and fly to the other side in an attempt to ram the player.
Upon reaching 50% health, the 'Spirit Dance' attack will change into 'Hammer Dance'. It will also start firing projectiles while it uses its 'Charge' attack. It will also gain another attack in Expert Mode.
- Hammer Dance : Hovers in place and summons spectral hammers all around it that travel in a curved outwards angle.
- Portals : Faces towards the screen while slowly moving towards the player while also summoning portals around it that shoot at the player.
