Mosquito Monarch is a Hardmode boss fought alongside the Mechanical Bosses.

While Mosquito Monarch is alive, the music Razor Buzz by Bartuscus will play.

Spawn

Mosquito Monarch spawns by using a Meaty Mushroom in The Corruption or The Crimson.

Behavior

Mosquito Monarch will move around while generally staying above the player, shooting projectiles before a random attack is chosen.

Attacks

• Stylet Cluster : Shoots multiple clusters of stylets. (Twice in Classic Mode, thrice in Expert Mode)
• Charge : Lines itself up to the player height and charges multiple times. (Charges faster in Expert Mode)
• Ichor Dance : Shoots multiple spreads of ichor all around itself. (Twice in Classic Mode, thrice in Expert Mode)
• Summon Mosquitos : Spawns a large amount of mosquitos that will attempt to fly into the player, dealing contact damage. They will disappear after a few seconds.

Upon reaching 50% health, Mosquito Monarch will be more aggressive and will gain additional attacks.

• Stylet Cluster (once) : Shoots a cluster of stylets once.
• Ichor Spread : Shoots multiple spreads of ichor while slowly moving towards the player.
