The Gemstone Elemental is a Pre-Hardmode boss fought after the Queen Bee.

While Gemstone Elemental is alive, the music Brilliant Foe by Bartuscus will play.

Spawn

The Gemstone Elemental spawns by using a Multigem Cluster while being underground. An enraged version of this boss with a faster attack pattern and an additional drop can be summoned by using the summoning item while having all Large Gems in your inventory.

Behavior

The Gemstone Elemental will slowly move towards the player and align itself accordingly depending on the player's location. The type of attack being used is indicated by the according large gem.

Attacks

Phase 1

• Amethyst Power : Shoots a slow moving amethyst bolt 3 times.
• Sapphire Power : Shoots a bouncing sapphire bolt affected by gravity 2 times.
• Ruby Power : Shoots 3 inaccurate fast moving ruby bolts in quick succession.
• Charge : Charges towards the player. Inflicts the Exposed debuff on direct contact.

Upon reaching 60% health, the Gemstone Elemental will enter its second phase. The gems surrounding the boss change from amethyst, sapphire and ruby to topaz, emerald and diamond. It will gain the following attacks:

Phase 2

• Topaz Power : Shoots a slow moving topaz bolt that bounce off walls 3 times.
• Emerald Power : Shoots a bouncing emerald bolt upwards that is affected by gravity 2 times.
• Diamond Power : Shoots a blast of 8 diamond bolts all around the boss 3 times.

Upon reaching 20% health, the Gemstone Elemental will enter its third phase. The boss will now have all gems surrounding it and will quickly switch between them when attacking. It will gain the following attack:

Phase 3

• Gemstone Blast : Shoots a blast of all 6 of the gem bolts that will home in on the player for a short time.

• The theme used for boss is the same one used in Vitality Mod's Trailer by Bartuscus, the mods creator and composer.
