Vanilla Calamity Mod Music adds many new tracks or music to the game. Almost all tracks are made by composer Heart Plus Up!, with one featuring novaGnomes, six tracks composed by CDMusic, three tracks composed by SkippyZii, two tracks composed by Thriplerex, one track composed by Salvati, and one track composed by psykomatic. So far, there are 49 tracks currently in-game.

Almost every track in the mod is featured in two albums: The Resurrection of a Cruel World and The Memory of a Cruel World. The Resurrection of a Cruel World contains songs for pre-Hardmode, while The Memory of a Cruel World contains songs for Hardmode.

Soundtrack

Pre-Hardmode

A Legend's Strife

A four movement symphony that reflects the journey from a hopeful beginning to an uncertain end. This track plays while the player is in the Forest during the Day. It is meant to be a biome counterpart to Stained, Brutal Calamity.

Laze of the Sky

A subtle piano piece that plays while the player is in the Forest during the Night. This song is one of the few recorded on a real piano.

downpour

A dramatic orchestral piece that plays during the Rain event. It has some melodic similarities to Silence before the storms.

Under the Earth

An adventurous track that plays while the player is in the Underground layer.

Amidst the Minerals

Heroic in nature, this piece servers as a break between the Underground and Cavern layers. The song plays while the player is in either a Granite or Marble Cave.

~Metal, Wood, and Fire~

It's a simple song that lays the ground work for the rest of the Workshop themes. It plays when the player is near a tier one Workshop and reflects the earliest parts of the game.

Gelatin Showers

An upbeat, royal march that plays during the Slime Rain event. The song contains motifs pertaining to slimes.

Gelatinous Monarch

A regal, somewhat sad song that plays during the battle with King Slime. The original version of this song was the first to be released for the mod.

Serenity

A soft lullaby piece with a foreboding feel that plays during Lantern Night events. This song is one of the few recorded on a real piano.

Scorched to Dust

This song intertwines both tropical and arid elements, playing whilst the player is in the Desert. Some melodies in the song resemble those found in various Ocean-related themes.

Nearing the Inferno

A perilous track that plays while the player is in the Cavern layer. Some sections of it resemble those found in other depth-related songs.

Congealing Shadows

An eerie orchestral piece that plays during the Blood Moon event. One section in the song features a melody from Bloodshot Barrage. This track was produced by Thriplerex.

Sanguine Eclipse

In place of the normal song, this more intense version of Congealing Shadows plays during the Blood Moon event while in Death Mode. This track was produced by Thriplerex.

Bloodshot Barrage

A dramatic song that plays during the battle with the Eye of Cthulhu. It is very introspective of the journey ahead, which can be heard in its melody references. The guitar lead and drums in the track were done by novaGnomes.

Haven in the Sunlight

An ambient yet dramatic song that plays while the player is in a Town during the Day.

Moonlit Haven

A piano arrangement of Haven in the Sunlight with a soft orchestral backing. It plays while the player is in a Town during the Night. This song is one of the few recorded on a real piano.

Frozen Over

A misty and sparse piece that plays when the player is in the Snow biome. The song dances around a motif associated with Permafrost.

Inside the Glaciers

This mystical, isolating song that plays when the player is in the Ice biome. Some melodies from Frozen Over return, where they begin to develop into something more chilling.

Writhing Shadows

A grim and menacing theme that plays while the player is in The Corruption. The original version of this song was the first to be created for the mod.

Between the Shadows

A quite desolate track that plays while the player is in the Underground Corruption. The main melody from Writhing Shadows returns with more instrumental contrast than before.

Menace of the Chasms

An erratic orchestral rock theme that plays during the battle with the Eater of Worlds. The song utilizes a motif relating to the Corruption.

Clotted Lands

An aggressive, unsettling song that plays while the player is in The Crimson. This track was produced by SkippyZii.

Bloodstained Terror

A brooding ambient theme that plays while the player is in the Underground Crimson. The main melody from Clotted Lands is present, where it becomes even more threatening. This track was produced by SkippyZii.

Madness Incarnate

A dread-inducing theme that plays during the battle with the Brain of Cthulhu. The song utilizes a motif that represents the Crimson. This track was produced by SkippyZii, with assistance from Heart Plus Up!.

Psychedelic Depths

An optimistic and trippy track that plays while the player is in a Glowing Mushroom biome. It utilizes a melody from Infestation.

The Abomination's Omen

An otherworldly song that plays while the player is near a Meteorite. Some sections in the track use a motif relating to the Astral Infection.

Starry Ascent

An explorative ambient theme that plays while the player is in Space. It shares the same key signature with Blessing of the Moon.

shoreline

An alluring, relaxing track that plays while the player is in the Ocean during the Day. The song is a counterpart to wasteland.

serene tides

A very serene and soothing track that plays while the player is in the Ocean during the Night. It reprises many of the melodies from shoreline.

~The Sky and the Depths~

The theme builds off of the last by adding both a flute and strings. It plays when the player is near a tier two Workshop and reflects the late pre-Hardmode part of the game.

Wrath From The Crypt

It is an intense, death metal track that plays during the battle with Skeletron.

Chambers of the Tyrant

A somber, melancholic track that reflects the brutal nature of its environment. It incorporates both a melody from Feral Amalgamation and a motif associated with Yharim. This song plays while the player is in the Dungeon.

Descent Into Hell's Fury

A heavy and chaotic song that plays while the player is in the Underworld. It possesses a motif associated with Yharim.

Fated Insurrection

Expressing a fierce, world-changing battle, this track plays during the battle with the Wall of Flesh. It reflects a false ending, as the song depicts the final boss encounter in pre-Hardmode.

Hardmode

The Resurrection of a Cruel World

This surreal and climactic track will play when entering Hardmode for the first time. It is meant to reflect the fallout on the world from the Wall of Flesh's defeat. This track was produced by Salvati.

~Mythic Metals and Enchanted Fires~

The theme builds off of the last by adding a choir and more strings. An additional section to the song is also gained. It plays when the player is near a tier three Workshop and reflects the early Hardmode part of the game.

~Fruits of Your Labor~

The theme builds off of the last by adding a shaker, horns, and more prominent strings. More is added to the overall composition. It plays when the player is near a tier four Workshop and reflects the late Hardmode part of the game.

Virtuous Radiance

Evoking feelings of awe and hopelessness, this track plays during the battle with the Moon Lord. This track was produced by psykomatic.

It is a placeholder theme, meaning it will be replaced with a new song in the future.

Post-Moon Lord

The Memory of a Cruel World

An atmospheric and introspective piece that plays when the Credits are playing. It has melodic references to the iconic Overworld Day theme, and was generally inspired by lit(var). This song is one of the few recorded on a real piano.

~False Gods and Ancient Elements~

The theme builds off of the last by adding bells and drums, giving the song a darker tone. It plays when the player is near a tier five Workshop and reflects the early post-Moon Lord part of the game.

~Master's Forge~

This theme finalizes the Workshop themes by adding technological synths and making portions of the song more climactic. It plays when the player is near a tier six Workshop and reflects both the endgame and the alignment with Draedon.

Music Box Exclusive

Grey Sky

An orchestral piece that uses motifs from A Legend's Strife. This was originally created for the Rain event, but was replaced with downpour because of its instrumentation.

A mellow synthwave beat that is used as a configurable alternate theme for the Rain event. This track was produced by CDMusic, and was originally made for the discontinued Terrawaves mod.

Battle of the Bouncy

A bouncy EDM track that is used as a configurable alternate theme for King Slime. It seems to reference melodies from Gelatine Throne. This track was produced by CDMusic, and was originally made for the discontinued Terrawaves mod.

Clotted Darkness

A creeping waltz that is used as a configurable alternate theme for the Blood Moon event. This track was produced by CDMusic, and was originally made for the discontinued Terrawaves mod.

Through Evil's Eye

A haunting metal theme that is used as a configurable alternate theme for the Eye of Cthulhu. The song calls back to a couple melodies from Clotted Darkness. This track was produced by CDMusic, and was originally made for the discontinued Terrawaves mod.

Hemorrhage

A terrifying, unsettling track that is used as a configurable alternate theme for the Crimson. This track was produced by CDMusic, and was originally made for the discontinued Terrawaves mod.

Behemoth From Beneath

An intimidating synth-metal theme that is used as a configurable alternate theme for The Destroyer. This track was produced by CDMusic, and was originally made for the discontinued Terrawaves mod.

R'lyehian Depths

A thrilling metal cover of R'LYEH that is used as a configurable alternate theme for when the player is in the third layer of the Abyss. The song is extended slightly from the original.

Removed

Engineer's Sanctum

A sombre chiptune-inspired theme that conveys a safe yet lonely feeling. It was moved to the official Calamity Mod Music mod, where it plays while the player is in any of the Bio-center Labs.

caustic tides

A calming, tamer cover of wasteland. It was moved to the official Calamity Mod Music mod, where it plays while the player is in the Sulphurous Sea during the Night.
