Takonomicon with its various attacks

The Takonomicon is a craftable Pre-Hardmode Spatial summon weapon that is made acquirable after either the Eater of Worlds or the Brain of Cthulhu have been defeated.
Its best modifier is Mythical.

In Game Description

Calls forth Void Octopi to assail foes with homing lasers.
Each Void Octopus summoned increases damage of all minions and summon weapons by 1%.
Right click to fire Eldritch Blast towards your cursor for 3 seconds, melting foes in a line before you (1 minute cooldown).
With at least one Void Octopus summoned, the Abyssal Gauge will appear.
When Void Octopi or Eldritch Blast deals damage the Abyssal Gauge will increase, even when this weapon is not held.
When the Abyssal Gauge is full, Ancient One's Summoning will activate when this weapon is held.
Ancient One's Summoning will cause magical portals to surround the nearest foe.
After a short delay, tentacles will be summoned to strike, inflicting Shadowflame for 7 seconds.
For each void octopi summoned, the amount of Ancient One's Summoning 's portals will increase and Eldritch Blast does more damage.
Damage scales with world progression.

Damage Scaling

As you defeat bosses in a world, the weapon's base damage increases. Each boss adds to a "Multiplier", which is then applied to the weapon. Below is a table with each boss's multiplier and the new total damage if you have beaten every boss above the listed enemy.

Notes

• Due to having a very low inital base damage, weapon modifiers which affect attack may round strangely (Notably, Ruthless gives a +33% damage increase instead of the ususal +18%).
  • This is because Modifiers will round their damage to the nearest whole value and change the percent increase/decrease to match. Then the weapon's base damage is updated, which then has the modifier reapplied to it, without resetting the modifier's damage increase. (EX: 3 -> 4 is a 33% increase).

• The item's visuals are a reference to the popular Virtual Tuber Ninomae Ina'nis.
• This weapon has received a total of 6 balance changes throughout the mod's lifespan so far - more than any other item in the mod. This caused various buff tako and nerf tako memes and jokes to spawn within the mod's community.
