The Skofnung is a craftable Pre-Hardmode Astral melee weapon that is made obtainable after Queen Bee has been defeated.
Its best modifier is Godly.

In Game Description

Attacks with this weapon stab rapidly and have high knockback
Holding this weapon conjures the Blade of Grudges , which will target and attack foes
The Blade of Grudges does half of your defense as damage to foes every 4 seconds (calculated seperately)
When the Blade of Grudges inflicts a critical strike, gain Bloodstained Belone for 8 seconds
Bloodstained Belone increases damage by 10%

Note

• The "#Skofnung" can only deal damage to an enemy after at least 4 seconds after the last time dealing damage.
  • However, it keeps attacking the enemy although dealing no damage to the enemy.
  • The time intervals for different enemies are seperately calculated. Namely, while "#Skofnung" can't deal damage to one enemy, it can deal damage to a different enemy if requirement of damaging is satisfied.
