The Rex Lapis is a craftable Hardmode 
Astral melee weapon that is made acquirable after the Lunatic Cultist has been defeated.
Its best modifier is Legendary.
In Game Description
Attacks with this weapon execute rapid stabs.
Each attack grants Bulwark of Jade for 2 seconds on hit, increasing defenses by 30.
Right click to consume 150 mana, dropping a colossal earthen meteor from the heavens, dealing 200% damage (20 second cooldown).
Additionally, this attack will deal bonus damage based on 50% of your Max HP.
This meteor will apply Petrification to foes struck on a critical strike, drastically crippling their movement speed for 3 seconds.
Attacking Petrified foes with this weapon will deal extra damage.
Critical strikes will Shatter foes that are Petrified .
Shatter deals 500% damage while removing Petrification .

Trivia
- The weapon's sprite, right-click attack and tooltip are a reference to Zhongli from Genshin Impact.
- Its sprite is reminiscent of the Vortex Vanquisher from the same game, the character's signature weapon.
- This weapon's right-click attack emulates Zhongli's Elemental Burst.
- The tooltip references once of Zhongli's voice lines when using said Elemental Burst.
- This weapon used to have a special attack sequence, before being replaced with a simpler thrust animation. It went as follows:
- A simple thrust that propelled the spear forwards.
- An overhead swing.
- Another shorter thrust that held Rex Lapis out and drew it back in, dealing an extra hit.
- An attack that dropped a Rex Lapis projectile diagonally from above, landing where the player's cursor was.
- It spun the weapon outwards, dealing damage in rapid succession.
- A lunging thrust that impaled its foes along the way.
- This pattern then repeated until the weapon stopped being used.
