Ignition Astra is a currently unobtainable Hardmode Spatial weapon with Celestial scaling. It exists within the game files and can be spawned using other mods, but it cannot be obtained through legitimate gameplay.

Information

Ignition Astra can switch between two interchangeable forms on a 2 second cooldown by right-clicking.

While at Astral form, damaging enemies restores mana, passively increases mana regeneration, increases defense, but decreases damage by 50%. While at Umbral form, every attack will swing the blade twice in a wide arc and summon several projectiles from the top screen to the position of the cursor. Enemies struck by the weapon while at Umbral form are permanently affected with Starblight. Umbral form disables mana regeneration and constantly drains mana.

This weapon gains additional damage when Calamity Mod is installed.

Trivia

• This weapon references the mechanics used for the Black Mage job in FFXIV. However, the naming does opposite of what it did for Black Mage. Umbral Ice state granted the Black Mage massive MP regeneration, while the Astral Fire state increases the power of Fire based spells for an increased MP cost.
