Question about custom rarities

Is there a way to make custom rarities? If so, how would I do so? (If it can't be done without modifying Template:Rare, would I even be allowed to modify it?) --RepeatSalt (talk) 01:47, 28 January 2024 (UTC)

Yep, for sure! You create a subtemplate with the name of the mod where those custom rarity levels are available, e.g. Template:Rare/Repeat's DND Vanity. There you define the sort ID (for sortable tables), the rarity name image (like Rarity color 1.png), the category name, and the text displayed when hovering over the image. Refer to Template:Rare/_Example for the format of that subtemplate's content. In the example, lines 19 through 23 use all the available options, but those will probably not be needed. Lines 16 and 17 should be sufficient, which add the four options {{rare|common}}, {{rare|rare}}, {{rare|epic}}, and {{rare|legendary}}.
