Classes (Team Fortress 2)
The Team Fortress Mod introduces 9 new classes to Terraria. Each of the classes have different abilities that differentiate them from each other. However, all 9 classes share the same damage type, mercenary damage. All 9 classes can utilize an arsenal of weapons and two accessories.
Unlike other classes such as melee, ranger, mage, summoner, and other modded ones, the 9 classes do not have natural life regeneration, access to armor, consume potions that are not health kits, equip non-weapon accessories that are not class tokens or rank tokens, nor use other weapons that don't possess mercenary damage. In addition, it's required that a legal loadout (one that can be made in the actual Team Fortress 2) is used for these classes. Excluding Engineer and Spy, this loadout should be one primary weapon, one secondary weapon, and one melee weapon. Certain accessories can be classified as weapons in this context.
Scout
Type | |
---|---|
Max Life | 125 |
The Scout is an Offensive class. He is the fastest and most mobile class with a speed of 133%. He is fragile, with only 125 health. However, this can be increased with Life Crystals and Life Fruits. Scout has the unique ability to double jump, allowing increased vertical mobility without additional accessories. He does pitiful damage, making hit-and-run combat absolutely necessary.
Soldier
Type | |
---|---|
Max Life | 200 |
The Soldier is an Offensive class. He is an all-rounded class with 200 health, which can be increased with Life Crystals and Life Fruits. However, he has a speed of 80%, making him the second slowest class. To counteract, all of Soldier's primary weapons have the ability to rocket jump by shooting at the ground, propelling him at a great distance with the cost of some health. The Soldier deals consistent damage and is overall a great class to play.
Pyro
Type | |
---|---|
Max Life | 175 |
The Pyro is an Offensive class. Pyro has 175 health, which can be increased with Life Crystals and Life Fruits, and a speed of 100%, which is no different from normal players. Using primary weapons, Pyro deals the highest damage per second of any class, but has the shortest range to compensate. In addition, Pyro's flamethrowers apply afterburn damage and can airblast, removing debuffs from friendly NPCs and deflect hostile projectiles.
Demoman
Type | |
---|---|
Max Life | 175 |
The Demoman is a Defensive class. He has 175 health, which can be increased with Life Crystals and Life Fruits, and a speed of 93%, making him slightly slower than normal players. Demoman specializes in explosives, dealing massive area damage with his stickybombs. He is even deadlier in melee combat with numerous weapons that support this more aggressive playstyle.
Heavy
Type | |
---|---|
Max Life | 300 |
The Heavy is a Defensive class. He is the tankiest class, with 300 health or more with Life Crystals and Life Fruits. In contrast, he is the slowest class with a speed of 77%. Heavy welds a minigun, which slows the Heavy even further when spun up, that barrages bullets at his targets, decimating everything in his path. If he requires healing, the Heavy can eat his Sandvich, returning him to full health.
Engineer
Type | |
---|---|
Max Life | 125 |
The Engineer is a Defensive class. He is fragile, with only 125 health. However, this can be increased with Life Crystals and Life Fruits. Additionally, he has a speed of 100%, which is no different from normal players. Engineer deals pitiful damage by himself and relies on his buildings for combat. He has access to an exclusive resource, Metal. With it, he can build sentry guns, which automatically seek and shoot at enemies, and dispensers, which supplies him with health, ammo, and metal.
Medic
Type | |
---|---|
Max Life | 150 |
The Medic is a Support class. He has 150 health, which can be increased with Life Crystals and Life Fruits, and a speed of 107%, making him slightly faster than normal players. Uniquely, the Medic has passive life regeneration, healing a consistent amount of health over time. Medic is also able to heal other players and friendly NPCs with his Medi Gun and filling his ÜberCharge meter. Once he's fully charged, he can activate ÜberCharge on his allies, significantly boosting them all and possibly turning the tide of a battle.
Sniper
Type | |
---|---|
Max Life | 125 |
The Sniper is a Support class. He is fragile, with only 125 health. However, this can be increased with Life Crystals and Life Fruits. Additionally, he has a speed of 100%, which is no different from normal players. Sniper slows himself down and charges his damage when scoping with one of his sniper rifles. When fully scoped, he can shoot a single bullet, which deals an insane amount of damage that is incomparable to any other weapons.
Spy
Type | |
---|---|
Max Life | 125 |
The Spy is a Support class. He is fragile, with only 125 health. However, this can be increased with Life Crystals and Life Fruits. Additionally, he has a speed of 107%, making him slightly faster than normal players. Spy can backstab enemies, lunging at them and dealing critical hits. Also, he can cloak, turning invisible and negating all damage temporarily.
