The Rod of Ensnaring is a Pre-Hardmode Staff that can be found in an Old Chests located in layer 1 of the Creepy Catacombs. It fires a bundle of thorns. Non-boss enemies hit with these thorns can sometimes get inflicted with the Ensnared Debuff, which disallows them to move, while the poisoned effect is active throughout. Enemies with this debuff cannot get it again for 15 seconds, even after said debuff wears out. Additionally, Boss enemies can not be ensnared, but will be poisoned longer to compensate
