Raiko (Infernus Mod)

From Terraria Mods Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Raiko is a significantly harder version of the Eye of Cthulhu, fought during Night. While it can be fought before any boss is defeated, it is intended to be fought after the Eye of Cthulhu.

While alive, it plays the vanilla Boss 2 music.

Spawning

When you wish to fight Raiko, you have to use a Meteor Shard at night, as it does not spawn on its own.

Tips

Raiko usually stays above you and comes in with a dash, moving vertically is essential for this fight. A dash and boots are recommended, you could also use Construction Key, a fast mount with little vertical movement.

Raiko tries to punish you for moving horizontally by shooting homing meteors and raining chunks of earth after it dashes, this is when falling or flying is recommended. Balloons and boots are good items for that.

Midlites often get in the way of your movement and knock you around. Using Thorns Potions can easily take care of them as they have rather low health. If too many spawn, they'll overwhelm you.

Midlites often drop a heart on death, so killing them will heal you in this fast-action fight where anything could hit you.

Raiko will mostly stay above the player, so weapons that fire projectiles are recommended because getting close is very difficult.

Aftermath

Text will show on your screen "The meteors glare at you, the boulders want their fun" indicating that the Boulder Invasion is something to look forward to.

Trivia

In the Beta of Infernus Mod Raiko would only dash and summon 2 Midlites when it dashes, making the fight much more hectic.

Even though it's technically post-EOC, Raiko can be fought before any Boss has been defeated.

Bestiary entries:

Raiko "Conceived from space itself, the vengeful spite meteor is here to get revenge for your actions"

Midlite "Strange to say that a Meteorite came to life, but it's even stranger trying to figure out where the smaller ones come from."
