The Sentry Gun Rod is a Pre-Hardmode Sentry purchased from the Mechanic. When used, it summons a Sentry Gun that fires Bullets at nearby enemies. It is used to craft the Sentry Gun Cane.

Its best modifier is Ruthless. The Mythical modifier provides the widest array of stats bonuses, but these primarily affect the initial summon rather than the resulting minion. Additionally, minions cannot deal critical hits. The only significant advantage a Mythical Sentry Gun Rod has over a Ruthless one is knockback.
