The Roukanken is a Hardmode melee weapon. Triggering its alternate attack causes the player to dash forward at a high speed. During the dash, the player is immune to damage. Any enemy hit during the dash initially takes only 1 damage. However, shortly after the player finishes the dash, each previously hit enemy receives another hit, dealing three times as much damage as Roukanken's normal attack. The cooldown of the alternate attack is 4 seconds.

The Roukanken becomes available for purchase at the Curio Trader after defeating a Tier 5 Boss.

The Roukanken's primary, then secondary fire. The latter piercing through 3 Armed Zombies. Note that this showcase video predates the addition of the melee aura, as well as the delayed damage of the alternate attack.

Trivia

• Roukanken is one of the two swords wielded by Youmu Konpaku. The alternate fire appears to be a reference to the spell card Human Sign "Slash of Present" from Hisoutensoku.
