The Ritual Straw Doll is a Pre-Hardmode accessory.
While wearing this item, the player receives buffs to their critical strike chance for each nearby entity (regardless of whether it is an enemy, a town NPC, or another player) that is under the effect of a harmful debuff. In addition, each debuff afflicting the wearer themselves increases their critical strike damage by 10%.

However, not all debuffs trigger this effect. Exceptions are:

• Self-inflicted debuffs (such as Tipsy, Potion Sickness and Mana Sickness)
• Location-based debuffs (such as Mighty Wind, Water Candle, Creative Shock and Horrified)
• Harmless debuffs (Wet, Stinky and some others)
