The Red Ribbon is a Pre-Hardmode accessory.

While wearing this item, the player regenerates 4HP per second while afflicted with debuffs. However, not all debuffs trigger this effect. Exceptions are:

• Self-inflicted debuffs (such as Tipsy, Potion Sickness and Mana Sickness)
• Location-based debuffs (such as Mighty Wind, Water Candle, Creative Shock and Horrified)
• Harmless debuffs (Wet, Stinky and some others)

In Multiplayer, the item has additional functionality. Analogous to the Paladin's Shield, all allied players close to the wearer are granted the Red Ribbon buff: this buff causes them to transfer eligible debuffs to the wearer of the Red Ribbon.
