The Pestilent Web Slinger is a Pre-Hardmode hook. It is functionally identical to the Web Slinger, except for the fact that its hooks can hit enemies and inflict the Diseased debuff on them.

Afflicted enemies have their movement speed reduced and lose 4 health per second. In addition, the Diseased debuff will spread to other nearby enemies.

The Pestilent Web Slinger can be purchased from the Curio Trader after unlocking Tier 1 items.
