The Grimoire of Patchouli is a Hardmode magic weapon. Its attacks differ depending on the currently active element, with the alternate fire button cycling through the five available elements. The available attacks are:

• Fire
  • Shoots a single fireball which explodes on contact with tiles or enemies, dealing damage in its vicinity
  • Inflicts On Fire! debuff for 5 seconds
  • 100% damage
  • 100% knockback
  • 100% projectile speed
• Water
  • Generates a water bubble that orbits the player for roughly 7 seconds
  • Can damage enemies up to 4 times before popping
  • ~70% damage
  • 150% knockback
• Wood
  • Shoots three leaves that bounce off of tiles and can damage up to 3 enemies
  • On hitting an enemy, the leaves will change direction to target another nearby enemy, similar to Nano bullets
  • Inflicts Poisoned debuff for 2 seconds
  • ~82% damage (per projectile)
  • 50% knockback
  • 104% projectile speed
• Metal
  • Shoots three fast-moving metal spikes that move in a straight line, penetrating up to 4 enemies
