Eternity Larva is a Tier 1 Pre-Hardmode boss.

Spawn

Eternity Larva does not spawn naturally. Instead, she can be summoned by using a Yellow Swallowtail Butterfly during the day.

Behavior

Eternity Larva alternates between a movement phase and an attack phase. In her attack phase, she attacks using one of three spellcards, depending on her remaining health:

• Scale Sign "Scattering Scales" Eternity shoots salvos of butterfly scales in multiple directions, with the angles changing during the course of the attack. Additionally, she occasionally shoots blue orbs upwards at a random angle, which will then fall down towards the ground.
• Butterfly Sign "Butterfly Dream": Butterflies move outwards from Eternity's position, forming a circle. They start out moving fast, then slow down once they reach a certain distance from Eternity. They remain in this state for some time, then begin rapidly accelerating while slightly changing their direction.
• Butterfly Sign "Fluttering Summer": Eternity shoots a pattern of butterfly scales, aimed at a single player. During its lifetime, the scales change their direction multiple times. Homing red butterflies are also fired directly at the targeted player.

• While Eternity Larva is alive, a remix of A Midsummer Fairy's Dream, her theme from Hidden Star in Four Seasons, will play. The remix was composed by Ümbra.
