Essence of Spring is a Pre-Hardmode consumable Thrown Powder item.

When used, any herbs in its area of effect that are in growth stage 2 will instantly flower, even if its blooming conditions have not been met. This does not increase crop yields but can massively boost seed yields. Its area of effect is much smaller than its graphic makes it appear, and is about the same size as other Thrown Powders.

It will not cause freshly-planted herbs to bloom, so it is best used to collect seeds for herbs that have difficult blooming conditions like Deathweed.
