The Dragon Star is a Hardmode accessory, available for purchase from the Curio Trader once any Tier 3 Boss has been defeated.

Similar to the Shield of Cthulhu, it allows the player to dash by double-tapping any direction key. In addition, it increases both melee attack speed and melee critical strike chance by 5%.
