The Blight King is a pre-hardmode boss and the first boss added by Edorbis. It is intended to be fought between King Slime and Eye of Cthulhu. While it is alive, its exclusive music will play.

Spawn Info

The Blight King does not spawn on it's own and requires the player to use a Edorbis/Biomechanical Matter at night.

Behavior

The boss consists of the main body and two destroyable cannons. The boss takes almost no damage while the cannons are active. The Blight king will try to position itself above the player and do the following:

• The cannons shoot a tight spread of three lasers diagonally. Both cannons always shoot at the same time.
• The boss itself will shoot a burst of three lasers downward.

• Shoots a burst of three v-spreads of 2 gravity affected stars that linger on the ground. the first shot will have the widest spread and the last will have tightest.

• If the player runs two quickly in one direction, the boss shoots a cluster of gravity affected stars that linger on the ground.
• Summons a probe for each cannon destroyed. the probes position themselves on either side of the boss and shoot a burst three bullets diagonally that then start travelling horizontally. The probes can be destroyed, but leave behind a cluster of stars that linger on the ground. They get replaced a few seconds after being destroyed, and up to two can exist at a time

Notes

The Blight King will despawn if it turns day.

Trivia

Despite its name, the blight king doesn't inflict any debuffs. In previous versions of the mod, the Blight King only composed of the body.
