The Flying Shield Core is a craftable Hardmode Accessory. It cannot be equipped while the Flying Shield Toolbox Pro Max, Flying Shield Toolbox, Flying Shield Varnish, Nano Amplifier, Heavy Wedges, or Flying Shield Terminal Chip are equipped. When equipped, it increases melee damage by 12%, Flying Shields can block despite them flying, decreases flying shield velocity by 40%, and increases their size by 40%. It is used to craft the Flying Shield Terminal Chip.
