- In the vanilla game, the Shiny Black Slab was obtainable from Chests in the surface layer, but only on the Google Play version.
- The Shiny Black Slab resembled a generic smartphone. Its sprite can be compared to that of the Cell Phone, except grayscale and with fewer details.
- The Android pet was modeled after the mascot for the mobile operating system of the same name.
