The Frozen Underworld (Awakened Light)

The Frozen Underworld is a new biome added by Awakened Light. It generates on the far left of The Underworld where it replaces all underworld blocks. The biome is mainly composed of Cold Ash blocks and Abyssal Hellstone, with the chance that underworld houses being converted to their frozen counterparts is higher the smaller the world size is. Unlike the normal underworld, this biome is pretty dark and a permanent ash blizzard is raging. Entering hardmode will change the biome's music permanently.

• The theme that plays during Pre-Hardmode is Frigid Sins and was composed by DrVoodoo.
• The theme that plays during Hardmode is Raging Sins and was composed by DrVoodoo.
  • This will be changed to only play after a future boss is defeated.
• In a future update, this biome will generate with a structure that grants access to a planned subworld known as the "Subzero Ridge".
