Here is a small tutorial on how the Carpenter determines what is furniture.
Bounties
The Carpenter may request an amount of "Furniture" to be present in a build. Any tile which is not a block or door counts as a piece of furniture. The same furniture will not be counted multiple times, so placing 3 Wooden Tables will only count as 1 unique furniture object, however placing a Wooden Table, Boreal Wood Table, and Palm Wood Table will count as 3 unique furniture objects.
For Moving In
The Carpenter requires 4 Unique Furniture Objects to move into a house. The way this is Calculated is the same as Bounties, except with a few extra conditions.
- Tables are not counted as unique furniture objects. This also means Dressers, Work Benches, Pianos, Bookcases, (ect), will not be counted as unique furniture objects.
- Chairs are not counted as unique furniture objects. This also means Toilets, Bar Stools, Beds, Benches, Sofas, (ect), will not be counted as unique furniture objects.
- Torches are not counted as unique furniture objects. However other lighting options like Tiki Torches, Lamps, Candles, Candelabras, Chandeliers, (ect), do count as unique furniture objects.
