The Tome of Pure Hopelessness is a hardmode Magic Spell Tome that can be obtained alongside the Magic Time Punk set from Prize Bag in Expert Mode.

⚒ Use / Attack will cast out 2 Hopeless Robloxians to home in to enemies. These projectiles, while it can go through walls, cannot pierce.

These projectiles will sometimes be accompanied by Crying Souls, which will steal between 5-10 life out of an enemy it struck. Additionally, critical hits will inflict the enemy with Fear debuff.

⚷ Open / Activate will call in 4 void's watchful eye and creates a portal for as long as it is held. These eyes will attack any close enemies with its lasers, while the portal constantly sends out more Hopeless Robloxians. After 2 seconds have passed, releasing ⚷ Open / Activate will teleport the player to the portal's location. This ability has a 10 second cooldown.

Its best modifier is Masterful for mana conservation, or Godly for criticial strike chance and knockback. It cannot get the Mythical modifier due to its low mana cost.

Notes

• Although it is possible to obtain it Pre-Hardmode, it is unusable until the Wall of Flesh has been defeated.

Tips

• It can be a pretty good early-hardmode magic weapon as soon as wall of flesh is defeated, due to its teleportation ability, and will still be useful until the player gets the rod of discord, due to the debuff it inflicts.
