The Super Star Shooter being used against Target Dummies.

The Super Star Shooter is a Hardmode ranged weapon that, as a direct upgrade to the Star Cannon, consumes Fallen Stars as ammunition by firing them in a straight line. The star projectiles are unaffected by gravity, pierce an unlimited number of enemies, and summon bright white streaks of light which slash into damaged enemies, dealing an additional 75% of the weapon's damage (45 base damage).[1] Star projectiles dissipate into light-emitting particles upon impacting a solid block or after traveling for one minute.

Its best modifier is Unreal.

Notes

  • In For the worthy and Get fixed boi worlds, most bosses reflect the Fallen Star projectiles.
    • Additionally, the Super Star Shooter's base damage is reduced to 54, and its base use time is increased to 19 (Very fast).

Tips

  • The Super Star Shooter can be crafted right after defeating any of the mechanical bosses and is extremely effective at killing all three of them, especially The Destroyer.
  • Items that grant ammo conservation such as the Ammo Box will help, as Fallen Stars can be hard to gather in large amounts.
    • In Journey Mode, Fallen Stars can be obtained easily by duplicating.
  • The Super Star Shooter's crowd control capabilities can render it useful until defeating Golem.
