The Dynamo Stem Cells are a post-Moon Lord accessory that are dropped by the Dragonfolly. When equipped, they increase the player's movement speed and ranged damage by 10% and cause ranged weapons to release miniature swarmers when fired with a 3 second cooldown. They also reduce the damage of the Dragonfire and Electrified debuffs by 50%. The swarmers deal 600-(usetime*20) of the weapon's base damage, with a minimum of 100% of the weapon's base damage for weapons with a use time of 25 or higher.

Trivia

  • In real life, stem cells are used in the process of cloning animals due to their ability to transform into any type of body cells.

History

These history sections are still a work-in-progress, and may not yet contain changes relevant to the current version of the Calamity Mod.
  • 2.0.4.001:
    • Now grants a 10% ranged damage boost.
    • Now reduces the damage of Electrified and Dragonfire by 50% instead of granting full immunity.
    • Mini swarmers are now guaranteed to spawn on a 3 second cooldown instead of having a 5% chance to spawn on every shot. They now deal typeless damage instead of ranged damage.
    • Mini swarmers now home towards the closest enemy instead of the earliest enemy in the NPC array.
    • Increased sell price from 22 Gold Coin to 24 Gold Coin.
  • 2.0.3.001: Adjusted its offset and scale in the inventory.
  • 2.0.0.001: Now grants immunity to Electrified and Dragonfire.
  • 1.5.0.001:
    • Nerfed movement speed boost from 15% to 10%.
    • Now has a static 20% chance to fire swarmer projectiles from ranged weapons instead of a random chance between 1% and 80%.
  • 1.4.5.003: Swarmers now have a soft damage cap of 1000.
