"Hello, little paintbrush. Care for some art? YOU can be the canvas."
Penthesilea, the Witch of Ink is a Hardmode boss. She uses paint as her attacks, and has a brush as a flying broom.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Spawning
Penthesilea does not spawn naturally and can be summoned by using The Unsullied Canvas, which is given to the player after defeating Plantera and The Vagrant of Space and Time.
Behavior
Penthesilea remains stationary throughout the fight at the place where she was summoned. She creates a barrier akin to The Warrior Of Light's and knocks all players upon spawning. Penthesilea deals no contact damage.
- Ink Over: Deals no damage. Covers the player in either Red, Blue or Yellow paint.
- Splattered Sundering: Red, Blue and Yellow boxes appear around the player. Being in the wrong color to what the player is covered in deals massive damage to the player.
- Linear Mystics: Summons horizontal arrows of ink. After a certain amount of time has passed, it will explode, sending paint blobs in both directions.
- Spilled Violet: Ink blobs rain down upon the player. Blobs that are colored blue will explode into 8 ink blobs.
- Chromatic Cascade: Five harmless blue ink blobs are shot from the player, which explode into 8 ink blobs that deal damage.
- Blotted Whims: Fires an arc of ink blobs from both sides of the arena, along with a slower moving arc of blue bursting blobs.
- Elegant Brushwork: Summons three paintbrushes in the player's direction that move a certain distance before reversing direction and moving forward.
- Efflorescent Brushwork: Similarly to Elegant Brushwork, but Penthesilea summons more paintbrushes.
- Rhabtophobia: Penthesilea teleports to the right side of the screen and starts firing ink blobs at the player. After the attack is over, she teleports back.
- Artistic Dissonance: A telegraph circle appears attached to the left or right of the player, after a short delay the player will be teleported to this location.
- Arcipluvian Arcana: Repeats the attack that she performed before this one.

Tips
- Pay attention to the Dash of Chaos' teleportation, especially during the Splattered Sundering, as the former teleports you just before the latter activates.
Trivia
- Penthesilea's theme is a instrumental rendition of "Mage of Violet" by Murasaki Shion.
- Before update v2.0.0.0, Penthesilea used the same voice lines as Gwen, a League of Legends character.
- In earlier versions of the mod, Penthesilea could cast the Garden of Avalon during second phase. The attack is removed due to it not fitting to the theme of the boss well.
- This attack had two voicelines:
- "I needn't hold back."File:Penthesilea The Garden of Avalon (The Stars Above).ogg
- "Whatever it takes."File:Penthesilea The Garden of Avalon 2 (The Stars Above).ogg
