Status messages are messages that are sent into the chat to inform the player of changes within the world or mode activation.
Progression
| Message | Trigger | Effect |

| "The Blood Moon cries" | The Eye of Cthulhu is defeated for the first time | Bloody Drops begin to drop from enemies during Blood Moons |
| "The heavens tremble" | The Wall of Flesh is defeated for the first time | Storm Ore generates in the world |
| "The world has been blessed with Amaza!" | Any of the Mechanical Bosses is defeated for the first time | Amaza Ore generates in the world |
| "The shadows lengthen" | Plantera is defeated for the first time | Nighttime enemies start dropping Shade Essence |
| "The world has been blessed with the Sacred Ores!" | Moon Lord is defeated for the first time | Lutetium Ore, Vanadium Ore, Osmium Ore, and Zirconium Ore are generated in the world |
Difficulties
| Message | Effect |

| "The Blood Gods thirst" | Blood Mode is activated |
| "The Blood Gods have been quenched" | Blood Mode is deactivated |
