The Glass Bow shattering into shards.

The Glass Bow is a pre-hardmode bow crafted from Glass.

Each time the bow is fired there is a 1 in 32 chance for the bow to shatter, which causes 5-6 glass shards to fire out in the direction the bow was shot, which can embed in enemies inflict the stacking Embedded debuff.

When the bow breaks it is replaced with a Broken Glass Bow, which can be used along with more Glass and Gel to "repair" the bow by hand.

Notes

  • The chance for the weapon to break is affected by luck, with the following formula: 1 in (32 x (Luck Value + 1))
    • This means at the minimum luck value (-0.4) the weapon has a 1 in 19 chance to break, and at the maximum (1.73) the chance is 1 in 87.
  • The shards deal 33% the damage of the weapon and have 5 armor penetration.
  • When the weapon shatters it will not fire an arrow.
  • There is a Configuration option to make the bow break in one shot, purely for comedic effect.
  • The shards will not harm the player.
