The Cunning Void Suitcase is a hardmode magic weapon rarely dropped from enemies in a Post-Plantera Dungeon. Holding down the use button charges up a void, draining 1 mana per tick (60 mana per second), and releasing the button or after 3 seconds has passed fires out a large void that pulls in and damages nearby enemies. The void stops moving upon hitting an enemy or tile. The weapon must charge for a minimum of 1 second before it can fire a void, and the size, damage, and duration of the void is increased with a longer charge. The damage starts off at 60 and increased up to 114 at full charge, the diameter of the void is tripled at max charge, and the duration starts off at 6 seconds and goes up to 12.
The damage and size scales up linearly depending on the charge, some examples are:
- 60 frame charge: 60 Damage, 60 pixel damage diameter, 120 pixel pull diameter, 6 second duration
- 120 frame charge: 87 Damage, 120 pixel damage diameter, 240 pixel pull diameter, 9 second duration
- 180 frame charge: 114 Damage, 180 pixel damage diameter, 360 pixel pull diameter, 12 second duration
Notes
- Bosses cannot be pulled in by the void.
- Enemies with high KB resistance are pulled in much more slowly than those with low KB resistance.
- Only the dark center of the void will deal damage, the transparent part only pulls in enemies.
- The void damages enemies every 15 frames for 4 hits per second, and has no limit on how many enemies can be damaged at once.
- The player must have a least 60 mana or they will be unable to fire the weapon.
- Items that reduce mana usage reduce the chance that the weapon will drain a single mana per tick, but the minimum 60 mana require will not change.
- The void will immediately fire if the player runs out of mana while charging.
- The tip of the weapon will deal damage to enemies when being charged up.
- The void can only pull in enemies that have a direct line of sight to its center.
- Dying while charging up the void will cause it to fire immediately even if it's charged for less than 60 frames.
Trivia
- It is a direct reference to Nicole Demara's weapon in Zenless Zone Zero, and the flavor text is a reference to one of her Ultimate voice lines.
