The Telescope is a Hardmode accessory sold by the Suspicious Skeleton after defeating Orro & Boro. When equipped, it summons The Moon that orbits around the player. During the day, The Moon will stay close to the player, reflecting any hostile projectile it comes into contact with that deal less than 50 / 90 / 120 damage. During the night, The Moon will stay further away from the player, dealing 55 damage to enemies on contact.
