The Sentient Shootius is a craftable pre-Hardmode summon weapon that serves as a Sentient variant of the Houndius Shootius. When used, it summons a Sentient Shootius sentry that fires a volley of 3 laser bolts at enemies. The bolts can pierce once and ignore solid tiles.

Its best modifier is Ruthless. The Mythical modifier provides the widest array of stats bonuses, but these primarily affect the initial summon rather than the resulting minion. Additionally, minions cannot deal critical hits. The only significant advantage a Mythical Sentient Shootius has over a Ruthless one is knockback.
