The NES Cartridge is a Hardmode accessory sold by the Suspicious Skeleton after defeating Orro & Boro. When equipped, dealing damage has a 2*1/50 (2%) chance to summon a Red Apparition that flies forward a short distance before disappearing. The Apparition ignores tiles, can pierce twice, and deals 500% of the original hit's damage. After summoning a Red Apparition, the player will not be able to summon additional ones for 6 seconds.
