The Licker is a craftable pre-Hardmode whip that serves as a Sentient variant of the Leather Whip. Like other whips, it causes minions and sentries to focus on the last-struck enemy. If the Licker hits multiple targets in a single attack, the damage dealt by each consecutive hit will be reduced by 15%. Holding the attack button will increase the whip's damage by 3 and the number of its segments by 1 for every 0.1 seconds and increase its range by 1.67% for every frame the button is held down. After 1 second of charging, the whip will be automatically swung. At maximum possible charge the whip gains +30 damage, +10 segments, and +100% range.

Its best modifier is Legendary.
