The 1.3 added 3 new minibiomes and a new structure, containing numerous new enemies, items, and tiles. Additionally, it implemented a massive amount of changes and bug fixes to existing content.

Weapons
- Reworked Arachnid Leg Wand. It now rapidly fires out short-ranged spider leg apparitions that can go through blocks; nerfed damage from 18 to 12, buffed mana cost from 15 to 5 and use time from 35 to 12.
- Buffed Brainy in a Jar's damage from 200 to 350 and revamped its explosion visuals.
- Nerfed Bulb Bomb's damage from 52 to 45 and its thorns now deal half the base damage.
- Cat O' Nine Tails now has 5 summon tag damage.
- Dave & Mike no longer need to touch the enemy they are targeting in order to begin attacking it, and massively increased the distance which they can target enemies from.
- Buffed Exposed Nerve's damage from 42 to 45 and its damage boost per hit from 10% to 20%, and it now has 5 summon tag damage.
- Firestorm Monsoon's Firebolts now pierce once and buffed damage from 70 to 85.
- Nerfed Flaming Flairon's damage from 140 to 85.

- Nerfed Living Retina Staff's explosion damage from 500% to 200% and revamped its visuals.
- Changed Moocher Staff's projectile to a giant cursed fire explosion that launches a few cursed fireballs upwards. Nerfed mana cost from 10 to 15 and use time from 20 to 50.
- Necromancy for Dummies' projectiles now bounce up to 4 times instead of 2 and will bounce towards the nearest enemy.
- Decreased the base firing delay of Necronomicon Volume II from
40/25/10 frames + 100% of use timeto30/20/10 frames + 33.33% of use timeand the heart now grows every 7 seconds instead of 15. - Increased Old Wood Staff's projectile velocity but decreased its lifespan.
- Ooze Magnum's Giant Bile glob now explodes into 30 smaller Bile globs instead of 10.
- Nerfed Pheromone Stinger's extra spider minion damage from 40% to 20%, and it now additionally gives 10% summon tag critical strike chance for spider minions.
- Buffed Poison Crossbow's damage from 25 to 32.
- Buffed Pumpkin Spicer's damage from 48 to 55. Its flames now have 18 armor penetration, spawn from the front of the held weapon instead of the player's center, and have some randomness to the flames shooting.
- Nerfed Pump-Action Leaf Blower's damage from 10 to 5.
- Buffed Seer's damage from 22 to 30.
- Snot-Nosed Tome's Controllable Nose now stays above the player and fires at the cursor instead of following the cursor and firing downwards.
- Buffed Spider Egg Cannon's damage from 16 to 25.
- Nerfed Spider Stabber's damage from 25 to 20, and it now inflicts Acid Venom instead of Poisoned.
- Reworked Spike Shell Shield into a shield accessory that grants 3 defense and causes attackers to take damage.
- Buffed Spooky Scroll's damage from 15 to 20.
- Nerfed Spore Smacker's damage from 15 to 8 and it now has 3 summon tag damage.
- Sunflower Rod's projectile now lasts 3 seconds instead of 7 and now splits into 3 petals on death.
- Increased enemy detection range for the Swarm Scepter's leech minions.
- Buffed Swingable Sphider's damage from 30 to 35.
- Nerfed Venom Sprayer's damage from 42 to 32 and use time from 8 to 10. Decreased velocity from 5 to 3.25. Venom Breath clouds now have 12 armor penetration, pierce infinitely, but suffer a 25% damage reduction per hit, and no longer inflict Acid Venom. Updated Venom Breath's visuals.
- Arachnid Leg Wand, Grimoire of the Flies, Old Wood Staff, Spider Stabber, Sunflower Rod, Venomous Spiderpoon now have auto-use.
- Bone Bender, Poison Crossbow, and Spider-Wing Longbow no longer slow the player while in use.
Accessories
- Swapped the Telescope and Severed Head progression-wise.
- Allergy Medication now also affects Acid Venom and Poisoned.
- Big Bone's Left Shoe now massively increases movement acceleration and maximum movement speed.
- Apocalypse Mixtape's Moon no longer has a damage cap for projectiles it can reflect.
- Arcade Cabinet now grants 2% increased critical strike chance per missing swirl charge up to 10% total, and increased the amount of time it takes for one charge to regenerate from 1.42 seconds to 2 seconds.
- Nerfed Bustling Glowshroom's regeneration from +5 HP/s to +2 HP/s.
- Corroding Chompers now grants 10% increased critical strike chance and its projectile will now always deal damage equal to the damage of the hit that spawned it.
- Buffed Creepy Pasta's Polybius Swirl's damage from 90 to 100.
- Cursed Cartridge's apparition now spawns after 25 hits instead of a 2% chance on hit and it no longer has a cooldown.
- Dreadful Clarinet no longer has a cooldown for spawning notes on critical hits but now has a cap of 5 active notes at once; increased the targeting range of notes.
- Eyeball of Pondering no longer shatters upon taking too many hits, nerfed bonus damage from 35% to 25%, and it now affects all damage instead of only magic.
- Reworked Flower Hairpin. It now summons up to 6 offensive orbiting petals that will chase enemies upon the player taking damage.
- Nerfed Glass Pyramid's damage reduction from 40% to 35% and it now breaks after 5 hits instead of 3.
- Nerfed Rusted Ring's regeneration from +5 HP/s to +0.5 HP/s.
- Samson's Cuffs no longer decrease movement speed and damage.
- Sewing Thread now inflicts Pierced debuff onto any enemy it hits; pierced enemies will take 2x damage and be inflicted with a damage over time debuff for 10 seconds the next time they are hit by any weapon other than the thread.
- Skull Amulet now grants 2% increased damage for each enemy soul absorbed for a maximum of 20%, and reworked the Frenzy buff to now grant a 75% attack speed boost instead of boosts to various stats. Additionally, collecting souls while the Frenzy buff is active will extend its duration.
- Snotty Schnoz no longer has a cooldown after shooting a spread of snot; snot projectiles no longer home in on enemies and no longer have 20 extra damage.
- Reworked Spirit Amulet. No longer has a chance to summon homing Amulet Seeds upon taking damage. Now has a chance to summon various ghosts upon dealing damage.
- Stitched Cloak's dash now allows the player to dash vertically/Horizontally without falling, and now grants immunity frames during the dash; removed the Stitched Cloak's spider web ability.
- Stoned Kidney now grants 15% increased damage while at full charge and Kidney Rocks now deal
100 + held item's damage / 2damage instead of 150 damage. - Strange Videogame now disables natural life regeneration and spawns a new Nature's Mockery immediately after the previous dies; Nature's Mockeries now last 5 seconds instead of 7 and deal 20-28 damage instead of 15-21.
- Decreased Symbiotic Ear's firing delay from
useTime * 3touseTime * 2. - Telescope's Moon now additionally grants 10% increased damage during the day and 10 defense at night.
- The Eighth Page's tentacles now drops Creepy Pages with a 5% chance on a critical strike instead of a 10% chance on kill.
- Tome of Spirits now gives stats based on the eye color: 12% more melee and ranged damage and knockback when red, 12% increased magic and summon damage and 15% less mana usage when green, 10 defense and +1 HP/s life regeneration when blue.
- Buffed Tome of Spirits' Rarg's damage from 40 to 50.
Armor
- Buffed Root Mask's and Root Garments' defense from 2 to 3.
- Buffed Spi-Ops Leggings's defense from 2 to 3.
- Increased the amount of Silver/Tungsten Bars and Spider Web Blocks in Spi-Ops armor's recipes.
- Buffed Rotten Gourd armor:
- Buffed Rotten Gourd Head's defense from 3 to 4 and melee crit chance increase from 5% to 10%
- Buffed Rotten Gourd Breastplate's melee damage increase from 5% to 12%
- Buffed Rotten Gourd Leggings's melee speed increase from 5% to 10%
- Rotting debuff from the set bonus can now be triggered by any damage instead of only melee and now always decreases enemy defense instead of decreasing damage and defense after some time.
- Buffed Spirit Horseman's armor:
- Buffed Spirit Horseman's Pumpkin's defense from 4 to 6 and crit chance increase from 5% to 12%
- Buffed Spirit Horseman's Chestmail's defense from 5 to 7 and damage increase from 5% to 15%
- Buffed Spirit Horseman's Greaves' defense from 4 to 6 and movement speed increase from 12% to 20%
- Set bonus' Pumpkin Head now fires Spooky Bolts in bursts of 3 and the Bolts can now home in on enemies. Buffed damage of Spooky Bolts from 30 to 40.
- Buffed Living Flesh Mask's and Living Flesh Leggings' defense from 3 to 4. Buffed set bonus' whip range increase from 10% to 15%
- Buffed Gore armor's defense:
- Gore Hood's from 13 to 14.
- Gore Mask's from 8 to 10.
- Gore Chestplate's from 12 to 15.
- Gore Robe's from 10 to 12.
- Spooky Mod's armor set bonuses now use "double tap down" instead of a dedicated button.
Enemies
- Buffed Rot Gourd's maximum life from 2200 to 2600.
- Moco's kamikaze Mocling projectiles now also fly at the player horizontally instead of just vertically
- Changed the color of Daffodil's Solar Deathbeam telegraphs in the first phase from yellow to green.
- All of Orro & Boro's non head segments are now immune to all debuffs excluding whip debuffs.
- Orro & Boro's floating arrow telegraphs have been removed, and their fight has been tweaked so that Orro & Boro are almost never off-screen.
- Orro & Boro now face the player when they are about to charge at them.
- Orro & Boro's spit projectiles are now yellow.
- Orro's eye and the eyes on its body segments now have glowmasks.
- Improves Orro & Boro's turning.
- Completely overhauled the Big Bone fight.
- Overhauled Bigger Eye's fight.
- Nerfed Catacomb Guardian's maximum life from 280000 to 9999, damage from 420000 to 1000, buffed its defense from 0 to 9999, and it no longer performs any special attacks.
- Bat n' Eyes are now immune to knockback while dashing.
- Increased the chance for Coughing Lungs to drop the Smoker's Lungs from 3.33% to 3.7%
- Ear Worms' movement and behavior is now more natural looking, they now recoil when shooting sound blasts, and they no longer draw behind tiles.
- Changed Ear Worm's projectile color from blue to green.
- Reworked Flesh Bolster. Now summons damaging pillars from the ground instead of buffing other enemies.
- Observing Orchids will now only chase the player if they have a line of sight to them.
- Decreased the chance for Putty Slimes to drop the Tub of Putty from 2% to 1%
- Rooted Zomboid's thorns now have an outline.
- Skeletoids now drop Candy Corn.
- Tomato Zomboid can now drop Shark Tooth Necklace and Money Trough.

- Bone Crates and Skull Crates can now drop Broken EMF Reader.
- The EMF Reader is now used to begin the Pandora's Box event and can now be used near Mysterious Tombstones in the Cemetery to battle Mist Ghosts for rewards.
- Using Acidic Concoction now pours acid from it. Pouring it at the Giant Egg will summon Egg Incursion/Orro & Boro.
- Nerfed Bleeding Heart's regeneration from +2.5 HP/s per bloom buff to +0.5 HP/s per bloom buff.
- Pumptergeist's projectiles now only spawn while holding a weapon and their damage now scales with the damage of that weapon; reduced the minimum time for a pumpkin to spawn from 6 to 5 seconds.
- Thorn Tipped Rose's ring now deals damage equal to the enemy's damage instead of having a flat damage value of 40
- Zappy Zucchini's lightning now deals damage equal to 66.67% of the enemy's damage instead of having a flat damage value of 20.
- Blooms now use a custom rarity.
- Pumpkin Spice Latte now sells for 10.
- Eye Lasher, Flesh Mincer, Living Flesh armor, Retina Staff, and Seer now require Monster Meat in their recipes and now require Shadow Scales/Tissue Samples in their recipes instead of Demonite/Crimtane Bars.
- Old Saddle's mount is now lower towards the ground and its wall/ceiling clinging mechanic is now way more lenient.
- Standardized the use time of all seeds to 15.
- Cemetery Grass Seeds can now plant moss on Catacomb Bricks.
- Glowshroom can now be placed.
- Completely overhauled the generation of Spooky Forest and Spooky Underground.
- Spider Grotto caves are now a bit longer horizontally and a bit shorter vertically.
- Swampy Cemetery terrain now generates a bit flatter.
- Resprited backgrounds for Spooky Forest and Swampy Cemetery, and added a new background for Swampy Cemetery.
- Swampy Cemetery biome now requires 650 tiles instead of 500.
- Spooky Forest and Spooky Underground biomes now require 1000 Spooky tiles instead of 500.
- Slightly decreased the size of Spider Grotto.
- Rod of Discord can now be used in the catacombs while fighting Daffodil and Big Bone.
- Curse of the Catacombs no longer prevents the player from placing blocks.
- Catacomb bricks and walls can now be broken with pickaxes/hammers once the respective boss at the bottom of that layer has been defeated.
- Being in the Valley of Eyes now disables the heat distortion caused by being in the underworld.
- Valley of Eyes' Eye Blocks now have new generation to make them feel more natural.
- Little Eye's house now has doors on it.
- Spooky Town Day and Spooky Town Night music tracks can now play in all Spooky Mod biomes.
- Changed Bloom Soil's recipes to now require Mud Blocks and Jungle Spores instead of Moldy Chunks.
- Added tile wind swaying for many Spooky Mod tiles, such as hanging ambient tiles and vines.
- Gourd 'O Lanterns now count as light source blocks for NPC housing.
- Replaced all Vinyl Discs with Music Boxes.
- Bloom plants now have better map colors and display names.
- Cemetery trees can now be planted and grown on catacomb brick moss placed by the player.
- Spooky Mod's Biome Keys now shimmer into their corresponding Biome Chests.
- Spooky Mod's Biome Keys now correctly use the "it has been cursed by a powerful jungle creature" tooltip pre-Plantera.
- Spooky Mod's grasses now immediately turn into their corresponding dirt block when broken like vanilla grasses do.
- Bloom buff UI now displays that the player can remove buffs by right-clicking.

- Fixed an issue where spooky biome ambient grass and vines would not be destroyed when converted by clentaminator solutions.
- Fixed Brown Solution not converting Spooky Mod biomes into a Forest biome.
- Fixed Frank the Goblin's hands despawning if the player goes too far away.
