The Famished is a pre-Hardmode enemy that can appear in the Underground Abandoned Village. Certain Abandoned Village enemies spawned underground have a chance to be infected with a Famished. Once the infected enemy is slain, the Famished will be set free and attach itself to a nearby block. Once attached, it will become vulnerable to attacks and will begin covering nearby blocks in a layer of damaging biomass. This layer works similar to grass and can be destroyed with pickaxes, restoring the block's original form. Famished will gain 5 / 10 / 15 additional maximum health for each converted block; damaging it will reverse some of the blocks, causing Famished to heal for each new block it covers until full recovery.
Upon reaching a certain size, the Famished will begin firing .png){kind=small}
lasers at players within line of sight. The lasers will leave damaging zones on blocks for 5 seconds.
