Bosses (Scape and Run Parasites)
Scape and Run Parasites adds several bosses, consisting of Infected Versions of Vanilla Bosses currently including 3 fights. Bosses are the only parasites who only target players (assuming they are in their Boss Mode).
Infected bosses will replace their vanilla counterparts when the phase is high enough, for all bosses currently in the mod this is phase 6. Once vanilla bosses start being replaced the only way to fight their sane counterparts is with Cleansed Summons, typically only accessible after the infected boss has been defeated.
Boss Mode
When bosses are summoned via their individual summons, or if they are replacing a vanilla boss, they will be in Boss Mode, this means that they will act like a traditional Terraria Boss, only targeting players and despawning when they have no target, or if certain conditions are met. Bosses in this mode will be at their full strength.
Roaming Mode
Most bosses in the mod are also capable of spawning naturally with reduced strength, if this is the case then the boss will be in its Roaming Mode. Roaming bosses will not follow their normal despawning behavior and will attack all non-parasites. Bosses spawned like this will also typically have a severely reduced loot table, usually consisting of items needed to craft the boss summon, as well as items from their sane counterpart.
Pre-Hardmode
The Feral Eye of Cthulhu is the infected version of the Eye of Cthulhu, it replaces the boss if the current Phase is 6 or higher. It's pattern is largely the same as the original boss, spawning Assimilated or Feral eyes as minions, although it also gains a signature ground pound move which instantly kills players.
The World Eater is the infected version of the Eater of Worlds, it replaces the boss if the current Phase is 6 or higher. Its attacks consist of spitting at the target, attacking with a corkscrew dash, and generally overwhelming the target with numbers. It's attacks inflict Corrosion and
Corrosion (Debuff), making its attacks deal more damage as the fight goes on, unless the player is able to avoid getting hit for an elongated period of time.
The Feral Brain is the infected version of the Brain of Cthulhu, it replaces the boss if the current Phase is 6 or higher. It has 2 phases, first hiding behind a shield of
Assimilated Creepers it launches at its target, then attacking with illusions and a ring of
Feral Creepers. It inflicts
Caustic Bleed, allowing most of its damage to ignore player defenses.
