The Styx is a Pre-Hardmode pavise that can be found in Shadow Chests in the Underworld, as well as Obsidian Lock Boxes. In addition to its normal functionality, the slam attack will fire a projectile that deals 60% of the weapon's base damage and, after coming to a stop, breaks into 3 smaller projectiles. Each smaller projectile deal 60% of the main projectile's damage and automatically home towards nearby enemies.

The Styx has a base slam distance of 9.375 tiles, and block duration of 3 seconds.

Its best modifier is Empyrean.
