The Heartbeat is a craftable Pre-Hardmode warhammer. Its Corruption counterpart is the Soul Crusher.

Melee hits from this warhammer will restore 2 life, while fully-charged thrown hits restore 5 life.

By default, it takes 3 seconds to fully charge the throw, and successfully hitting an enemy with the melee swing will provide 1 seconds' worth of charge time. Melee speed modifiers will affect both the charge time and charge filled by the melee swing.

Hitting an enemy with a fully-charged warhammer throw will restore 1 guard charge.

Its best modifier is Legendary.
