Empress armor is a craftable Hardmode, post-Plantera Guardian armor set crafted from Prismatic Platings. It takes a total of 30 Prismatic Platings to craft a single full suit, or 42 Prismatic Platings if you want to craft one of each chestpiece.

It consists of an Empress Headguard and Empress Legguards, as well as two different chestpieces: the Empress Chestguard, and the Empress Chestplate.

A full set of Empress armor provides the following bonuses:

• With Empress Chestguard:
  • +68 defense
  • +25% opposing damage
  • +1 guard charge
  • +3 slam charges
  • +15% guardian charge generation
  • +10% melee speed
  • +15% movement speed
  • +750 aggro
  • Set bonus: +2 bonus rune effect projectiles; +50% rune effect duration
• With Empress Chestplate:
  • +79 defense
  • +20% opposing damage
  • +3 guard charges
  • +1 slam charges
  • +10% melee speed
  • +15% movement speed
  • +750 aggro
  • Set bonus: +30% damage reduction while holding a pavise or gauntlet; +1000 aggro (+1750 total)
