The Rock Man is a Pre-Hardmode shortsword which spawns in a special, dedicated minibiome inside of Gold Chests, nicknamed the "Underground Forest". 2-5 Underground Forests generate per world depending on size. There is no other way to obtain this sword, making it non-renewable.
Its best modifier is Legendary.
Underground Forest
The Underground Forest comprises of mostly Dirt, Grass, Trees and Vines, with a single Gold Chest which contains one item, Rock Man. It can spawn in most of the basic Underground and portions of the Jungle, as it avoids the Desert biome, Snow biome, Jungle Temple, Dungeon, Bee Hives, Granite Caves, Marble Caves, and Glowing Mushroom biomes.
Trivia
- The Rock Man has historically been a reference to Mega Man, known as "Rockman" in Japan. This is also combined with the fact that it references lemons in its tooltip, from a joke about how Mega Man shoots "lemons" due to the shape and color of his bullets.
- This weapon used to fire gravity-affected Lemon projectiles, this has been long removed however.
- Rock Man was initially called "godman".
