Insurgency is a Necromancy scepter which can convert tier 4 enemies into ghost minions. When used, it fires an skull which oscillates between teal and green which travels at a very fast speed. After it hits an enemy, it will spawn a skull which fires up to 4 Spirits at nearby enemies.

Spirits are also randomly spawned from the Insurgency debuff, and once a spirits hits an enemy, it will also recieve the Insurgency debuff, spreading it.

The skull and spirits inflict a debuff which applies 50 damage over time. If the enemy is in the tier 4 group, and they are killed with this debuff active, they will convert into a ghost minion. The debuff also has an instant kill threshold, which is 1/10th of the enemy's total life, capped at 150.

Ghost Minion

Ghost minions converted by the Insurgency will have 125 base damage, and move 150% faster than usual.

The minion will have a Turquoise (#50ffc8) aura. However if you are playing PVP in Multiplayer, it will change to be the same color as your current Team.

Tips

• The Insurgency will last for the rest of Hardmode, as it can convert almost every enemy until Moon Lord is defeated.
• Insurgency is very strong in events, especially the Pumpkin Moon, Frost Moon, and Celestial Pillars, as it can convert the enemies within the events.
• Capturing enemies before a bossfight begins, for example: Flying Snakes, Lihzahrds, Celestial Pillars enemies, Blood Eels, Pumpking, Ice Queen or Biome Mimics, can allow you to have ghost minions during a bossfight without needing to use the scepter during it.
• The Ancient Vision can be converted, however it is still not advised to use the Insurgency during the Lunatic Cultist fight due to how uncommon such enemy spawns.
• Sharkrons cannot be converted, making Insurgency not usable during the Duke Fishron fight.

The weapon's design, name, and flavor text is a reference to the Insurgent boss from the Split Mod.
