The 2.5.1 update of Aequus is a patch update adding misc content, mostly focused on Christmas content and upcoming Terrarian's Construct update content.

New Content

Town NPCs

  • Occultist now has a naturally spawning variant which appears near the Gore Nest before you have completed the Demon Siege...
    • Adjusted the sprite of the Town NPC Occultist variant to differentiate the two
  • All of the Physicist's shop and reward items into the Analysis blacklist, so they cannot be turned in for an Analysis reward

Pylon Drones

  • Overhauled all Pylon Drones visually, with slight mechanical changes
  • Pylon Gunner now properly inherits damage from nearby Town NPCs, this was supposed to be a feature earlier, however it did not work correctly
  • Pylon Cleanser is no longer purchasable from the Physicist until the Steampunker is present

Balancing

  • Nerfed Fertile Powder
    • Decreased range, updates tiles at half the rate
    • Non-block tiles now update at 1/8th the normal rate, making it less useful to grow herbs (Does not apply to saplings)
    • Now requires Bones to craft
  • Super Long Leech now has a lifesteal cap of 10 health, however it will now always heal (atleast 1) hp even when the vanilla lifesteal anti-cheese kicks in
    • Can now get generic weapon modifiers
  • Nerfed the Battle Axe, it can only strike 2 enemies before losing a damage hitbox
  • Nerfed Mirror's Call, it can only strike 5 enemies before losing a damage hitbox
  • Nerfed the Cauterizer
    • Damage: 75 -> 55
    • Scale: 135% -> 125%
    • Swing Time: 40 ticks -> 44 ticks (slower)
    • Sword can now only strike 3 enemies before losing a damage hitbox
    • Projectile now has penetration damage falloff
  • Nerfed the Ultimate Sword
    • Damage: 45 -> 55
    • Scale: 175% -> 133%
    • Swing Time: 25 ticks -> 18 ticks (faster)
    • Knockback: 6.5 -> 2.5
    • Sword can now only strike 3 enemies before losing a damage hitbox
  • Nerfed the Super Star Sword
    • Damage: 30 -> 24
    • Sword can now only strike 2 enemies before losing a damage hitbox
    • Projectile Damage: 100% of weapon's damage -> 80% of weapon's damage
    • Projectile now has penetration damage falloff
  • Nerfed Slice
    • Sword can now only strike 3 enemies before losing a damage hitbox
    • Projectile now has penetration damage falloff
  • Nerfed the Flashway Necklace
    • Cooldown: 3 seconds -> 5 seconds
    • Immune time: 10 frames -> 4 frames
